MY STORY
Dr Ingrid Hamel, DC, DACCP, DACNB
Hi, my name is Dr Ingrid Hamel. I am a pediatric chiropractic functional neurologist. I received my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1993 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I obtained a diplomate in Pediatrics from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in 2008 and a diplomate in functional neurology from the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (ACNB) in 2016.
A New Twist on Chiropractic Care
My pediatric practice uses my chiropractic and functional neurology education to provide care to children with developmental and neurological challenges. My passion is using my childhood developmental disorders training to facilitate the integration of primitive reflexes in the preschool age group. I have applied this knowledge by working at a preschool where I developed a program of neurological workshops in order to promote healthy neurodevelopment and primitive reflex integration with the goal of staving off labels and diagnoses once the kids reach elementary school.
Originally from California, Dr Ingrid practices in Sainte-Julie, Québec, Canada as well as Loveland, Colorado. She lives with her chiropractor husband, Patrick Hamel, and together they share their lives with their four adult children and two grandkids.
