BrainWorks is a neuro-rehabilitation program that strives to give children who are living with developmental and neurological challenges an opportunity to live a more fulfilling childhood. We use functional neurology to foster healthy neurodevelopment in the preschool and elementary school-aged population.

Functional neurology looks at how the brain and nervous system are functioning. Then we apply different sensory-based activities to tap into the brain’s ability to change itself, enhancing the function of different areas that may need it.

HOW IT WORKS

BrainWorks is a unique 3-part model that fosters the optimal neurodevelopment of your child :

BALANCE

the brain using pediatric chiropractic care

Chiropractic care taps into the nervous system and promotes communication:

  • from the brain to the body so that the body’s motor system responds and reacts in an efficient and orchestrated manner,

  • from the body to the brain for optimal sensory integration.

As an added bonus, chiropractic care promotes quicker and improved outcomes when used in conjunction with other therapies! That’s pretty cool!

ACTIVATE

the brain with functional neurology

Functional neurology identifies the incoherences and insufficiencies of the nervous system in order to improve function using sensory receptor-based therapies.

Functional neurology relies on the principle of neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and change by creating or strengthening nerve pathways.

NOURISH

the brain with healthy fuel

Looking at nutrition is essential for giving the brain and body what it needs to function optimally and promote a healthy neurodevelopment.

This is especially important when we are in active rehabilitation as the demands are increased during this time.
